Energy independence is a must. It is a matter of national security. Arizona is rich with natural resources and has diverse climates that make our state well-equipped for an energy driven economic recovery.

As a member of the House Natural Resources Committee, Dr. Gosar has strongly advocated for an all-of-the-above energy strategy.  He knows we need to not only be drilling more at home, but we also need to explore all alternative energy options, such as bi-products, geothermal, nuclear, hydropower, wind and solar energies. He has supported legislation that will expand offshore and onshore oil and gas production, authorize the construction of the Keystone XL Pipeline, remove bureaucratic red tape that prohibits the development of renewable energy projects across our state, and implements tort reforms so environmental groups cannot block economic development via excessive litigation at the taxpayer’s expense.

Dr. Gosar has even introduced legislation, Public Lands Renewable Energy Development Act that eases barriers to wind, solar, and geothermal energy development on public lands while providing resources for valuable hunting, fish, and conservation activities.  Considering the large swaths of federal land within Arizona’s Fourth Congressional District and the diverse climates, this legislation would spur economic development and create jobs in rural Arizona.

These policies will expand energy production, create jobs, and stop Obama administration policies that are making gas prices worse
